You can't unscramble scrambled eggs

It's December!
Not much to blog about as far as running adventures go but if you consider for a moment an adventure is an activity that comprises risky, dangerous and uncertain experiences then raising three children under the age of five is my daily dose of adventure. Actually in a way parenting can be compared to Ultra Running both involve a certain level of endurance, mental stamina, balance and to get through the day both require patience, perseverance, and a sense of humor helps. An old cliché, "If you don't like the weather in New England, just wait a few minutes same goes for children they're unpredictable like the weather, a typical day has highs and lows, cold fronts, warm fronts, the occasional hurricane and plenty of mixed rain and sunshine. I wonder what's on forecast for tomorrows adventure.

On to the next Plateau
With the inevitable upon us I'm getting excited for some winter hiking, snowshoe runs, and training for a few up-coming events.

Fat Ass 50K
Hyannis Marathon
Pittsfield Snowshoe Marathon

I haven't followed a training schedule for the longest time but I think I need more structure to get me through the winter months. Maybe this Training Program - Marathon Advanced

Gotta run - off to read the kids Oh, the Place You'll Go! By Dr. Seuss -

"Congratulations!
Today is your day.
You're off to Great Places!
You're off and away!"
